Ladakh is the most favorite and a highly coveted holiday destination for almost every Indian. And rightly so, it is a must visit for everyone, at least once, in any season they prefer. Rightfully called the Land of High Passes, Ladakh is home to some of the highest roads in the world (Umling La, Zoji La, and Khardung La, all above 18,000ft), and is gifted with some of the most contrasting landscapes which make Ladakh all the more beautiful and a place worthy of being more than just a destination. Ladakh is a dream and that is why everyone must visit it at least once.
Arrival at Srinagar Airport Meet our representative at Srinagar airport, transfer to hotel / Houseboat. Afternoon, leave for local sightseeing of Srinagar City. Visit – Mughal gardens: – ChesmaShahi (Mughal Spring), Nishat (The Garden of Bliss), Shalimar (The Abode of Love). In the evening, shikara ride in world-famous dal lake. Overnight stay at Srinagar.
Today after having breakfast we drive to visit the famous Mughal gardens in Srinagar which are Nishat Bagh (the garden of Pleasure), Shankaracharya Temple, Hazratbal Shrine and Shalimar Bagh (abode of love). These gardens are situated on the banks of Dal lake. Nishat Bagh is the larger of the two gardens and has an impressive plantation of Chinar trees on its highest terrace. Both the gardens are built on a symmetrical plan of central waterways with fountains dividing a series of gardened terraces. Night stay at Hotel in Srinagar.
We proceed to Gulmarg (60kms/2hrs drive) the scenic tourist destination in Kashmir, primarily famous for ski slopes and natural 18 holes golf course, which is also the highest golf course in the world. Enjoy the splendor of nature and the snowy mountains. One can have a Gondola ride (cable car) from Gulmarg to Kongdoori& Marry Shoulder. In the evening drive back to Srinagar and enjoy overnight stay at the Hotel in Srinagar.
Morning After breakfast leave for Kargil, by visiting Sonamarg (Known As Meadow of Gold), cross famous Zodjila pass, Drass Village (2nd Coldest Inhabited place in the World), Enroute have a magnificent view of Kargil war Famous Peaks (Tiger, Tololing) from Vijay war memorial hall site, reach Kargil by evening. Overnight stay at Kargil.
Post breakfast we drive to Leh enroute visiting Lamayuru, Belongs to Dripung Kagyu (Red Hat). Then we drive towards Leh enroute visiting Confluence of The Indus AndZanskar River just after 4 from Nimmu and further to Magnetic Hill which defies the law of gravity. It has been noticed that when a vehicle is parked on neutral gear on this metallic road the vehicle slides up and GurudwaraPathar Sahib Nestled deep in the Himalayas, which was built by the Lamas of Leh in 1517 to commemorate the visit of Guru Nanak Dev. Upon arrival in Leh, you will meet by our representative and check in at our hotel for overnight stay
After early breakfast, leave for Nubra Valley, driving across Khardong – la (alt: 18,380 ft. – highest motorable pass in the world). After descending in the valley, drive on to Hundar and check into fixed camp. Post lunch, you can enjoy the ride of double hump Camel on Hundar sand dune. Dinner and overnight in the camp.
In the morning drive to Diskit (Headquarters of Nubra) and visit Diskit Monastery. Later, drive back to Leh, reaching in the late afternoon. Rest of the day to explore the markets. Dinner and overnight in Hotel.
After Breakfast Leave to Pangong Lake through Changla pass 5486 Mtrs. While ascending Changla pass 5486 Mtrs. Enjoy the beautiful panoramic view of the villages below the pass. After crossing the pass halt for picnic lunch at Tsoltak, the summer pastureland of the yaks. Arrive Durbuk and from there a short drive takes you to the western shore of the lake. Enjoy the landscape in the backdrop of the Lake. This famous blue brackish Lake of Pangong is 5/6 Kms wide and over 144 Kms long with half of it’s running the other side of the “INDO CHINA BORDER”. One rarely feels so close to nature and environment and the scenery is unforgettable. Dinner and overnight at Camp.
Leave Pangong Lake after breakfast and retrace the road to Leh across the Changla Pass. Upon reaching Karu, drive across the Indus and visit Hemis Monastery, the biggest and most famous monastery of Ladakh, and then return to the highway for onward journey to Leh, .Dinner and overnight at Hotel.
